Angie’s mission is to touch listeners with God's gift of music. Her voice – a rich, heart-melting one whose versatility spans jazz, contemporary Christian, Gospel, country, blues, and soft rock.
A native Texan, Angie started writing music when she was a teenager, but the rhymes and lyrics found their way into keepsake boxes and journals for many years while life took her in other directions. “Raising my children and running a business was my first priority, so music had to sit on the back burner," says Angie. She sang just enough in church to keep the passion alive. It wasn’t until 2005 that Angie couldn’t put off her passion for music any longer and dove into writing, recording, and performing.

Angie is one of those rare performers who can make hearts ache and souls shake with her own renditions of the jazz standards, including Close your Eyes, Call Me, Summertime, AtLast, What Are You Doing the Rest of Your Life, Sunny, and Girl Talk, The Look of Love, just to name a few. “Because I’ve lived through some tough times, I can infuse the standards with a sense of knowing.”
A staple in the Tulsa music scene for several years, Angie has showcased her vocal talents at Juneteenth, The Saturday Night Spotlight, The Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame, Performing Arts Center, The Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fames’ concert series and her own shows at Jazz Hall of Fame regularly since 2011. She has opened up for political events at the state and local level with a powerful National Anthem and God Bless America and continues to sing at private functions, conferences, dinner events, weddings, and local venues. Angie also volunteers in several outreaches and leads worship at her local church.
In 2009, her song I Don’t Doubt It won top five and debuted on a private songwriter’s collection cd produced in San Francisco. In 2010, Angie placed top 25 in USA and Canada American Traditions Competition in Savannah, Georgia and competed under the direction of Internationally known gospel artist Ernestine Dillard. In 2010, Angie placed in the Oklahoma based Songwriting Contest for her song Like A River after performing it at the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame with the talented Swon Brothers. She has also placed in numerous performance competitions including First Place for her performance of At Last. In 2011 through 2013, Angie was nominated for various titles including Best Female Vocalist, Best Christian Artist, Best Jazz Artist, and Artist of the Year in the Absolute Best of Tulsa Music Awards and was chosen to perform her song her song Color Me Blue with the Hard Rock Orchestra at the ABoT Awards. In 2013 Angie was voted Absolute Best of Tulsa’s Best Christian Artist by the readers of Urban Tulsa Weekly.
In 2011, Angie released her album “Good Things” which reflects her versatility in songwriting, performance ability and style. In 2013, her jazz cd “Color Me Blue” featuring jazz and blues originals was completed. In 2015, collaborating with two of the most talented jazz artists in the area, protean pianist, guitarist, & producer Mike Leland and bassist Dean DeMerritt, Mike & Angie released their "Night & Day" cd featuring the soft sounds of vocal jazz.
You can find Angie performing around the Tulsa area and at Bluestone Steakhouse where the dining is fine and the music is at it's best with live music from Angie & Mike every Wednesday & Thursday evening.
